2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind." (NKJV)
Whenever God has given us something to do, and we think about all of the reasons we are not qualified to achieve it, we are putting our feelings over God's directives, which is a form of PRIDE. This thought is sobering. We are not to depend on ourselves or our abilities in any way. Only the Holy Spirit. He is the one, who when we rely completely on Him, helps us to achieve God's will. Apart from Him we can do nothing.
So, what does it look like to step out on faith when you feel unequipped? Stop, pray, and ask God to give you the next thing to do. I promise you He will answer. Will you be listening?
As I walk through this journey of entrepreneurship, I've had to learn to stop thinking about what I wanted and ask God how He wanted His company run. Humility. Submission. And I continue to learn more about the direction He wants me to go everyday.
My prayer is that the direction I'm moving in is meaningful and impactful, and pointing others in the direction of Christ. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
